Ministers of The Eucharist - St. John the Baptist week beginning 16th Elizabeth Wilson. Ministry of The Word Eucharistic Adoration - on Thursdays from 8 a.m. - 6.55 p.m. in St. John the Baptist Church Carol Service in the Old Parish Church at Cultra on Sunday 15th December. At the end of the Year of Faith we remember our forebears who worshipped in this Parish especially and in other places generally. Feasts: Monday 16th Ss. Christian Meditation: The Meditation Group will meet on Monday at 8 p.m. in the Pastoral Centre. All welcome. Sacraments: First Confession, First Commuinion, Confirmation. Children attending St. John the Baptist, Presentation and Ballyoran Primary Schools are prepared for these Sacraments in school and by participation in Parish Programmes. Children attending other schools who are of an age to receive these Sacraments and would like to - their parents/guardians should contact Fr. Sheehan or Fr. O’Dwyer during September. Year of Faith: Parish Retreat at Benburb Pirory on Sunday 13th October 10.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. A day of reflection for yourself - a time out day for you and God. Do not be afraid. Please leave name with one of the priests or in the sacristies. Recent Baptisms: Olivia Carole Perry, Guilherme Cruz, Ryan Dylan Creaney Parish Pastoral Council meeting on Thursday 19th September after evening Mass. Sacrament of Anointing during 10am Mass in St Patrick’s Church next saturday 21st September. Knights of St Columbanus meeting on Tuesday. Church Choirs: the Saturday evening and Sunday morning choirs have returned after the summer. New members are welcome to join them at this time. Contact any choir member. Feast of St Terese of Liseau - the Little Flower: Mass in St Malachy’s Church, Armagh on 1st October. Roses blessed. Relic of St Terese will be available for blessing. Pathways: adult faith development course 2013 to 2015 in conjunction with Dromore Diocese - part time course. No academic qualification necessary - no written work required during the course.
