PARISH OF DRUMCREE
Mission Statement: Our Parish is a Christ-centred community. In Baptism we are challenged by the Spirit to live and share the Gospel message. Through proclaiming the Gospel message to all, Growth in Faith, Liturgy, Justice Issues and
Ecumenism we extend our love and care to all people providing support in renewing and deepening our faith. We value the gifts and talents of each of our Parishioners and invite them to use these in responding to Christ's invitation to all of us to follow Him and spread the Good News to the whole world.

Reflection

We are never too poor to give to God

In the times of our lives
when we feel weak and discouraged,
we feel we have little to give to God -
or to others.

After failing an exam, losing a job,
finding out we are very ill or near to death,
when love has gone wrong
or our children have turned to crime,
we may feel we have little to offer.

He looks on us,
like a mother looks on a child
who is making awkward efforts to help her.
As he praised the poor woman,
for her contribution to the temple.

Jesus, like God our Father,
sees the intentions of the heart,
and values what we offer.

Like the snow melts into a river
and every small flake is part of the river,
so all we give from the heart
becomes part of the big love of God.

We are never too poor to give to God,
for what God likes
is the gift of the heart.
