Catholic Education Week - Visit of Cardinal Brady |
Catholic Education Week is an initiative of the Consultative Group for Catholic Education. It was inaugurated in 2007 and celebrated across N. Ireland. In 2008 the chosen theme is “Living Faith Fully”. The Week follows on from Education in Faith Sunday and concludes with Temperance Sunday on 3rd February in time for the penitential season of Lent. The Week offers an opportunity to celebrate the distinctive richness of Catholic education and to emphasis its contribution to ensuring that each child develops and fulfils his potential. The celebrations provide a special focus on the unique ethos of Catholic schools whose mission is inspired by the Spirit of Christ. Catholic Education Week reminds all people of good will of the invaluable role that Catholic schools have in assisting the spiritual and moral well-being of our young people. Visit of Cardinal Brady Seán Cardinal Brady will come to the Parish of Drumcree on Tuesday 29th January 2008. To mark Catholic Education Week His Eminence will celebrate Holy Mass at 10.00am in the Church of St. John the Baptist. Cardinal Brady will then visit our Catholic schools – St. John the Baptist Nursery School, Presentation Primary School, St. John the Baptist Primary School and Drumcree College.
