The five Mysteries of Light recount the public life of Jesus from His Baptism to the eve of His Passion. Each is a revelation of the kingdom present in the very person of Jesus.
 1. Jesus is baptised in the Jordan
“Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized in the Jordan by John. A voice came from heaven. ‘You are my beloved Son. On you my favour rests.’” (Mk 1:9, 11)
 2. The manifestation of Jesus at the wedding in Cana
“Jesus performed the first of his signs at Cana in Galilee. He revealed his glory and his disciples believed in him.” (John 2:11)
 3. Jesus proclaims the Kingdom of God, and calls us to conversion
“Jesus appeared in Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. ‘The Kingdom of God is at hand! Reform your lives and believe in the Gospel.’” (Mk 1:15)
 4. The Transfiguration
“Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain. He was transfigured before their eyes.” (Mk 9:2)
 5. The Last Supper and Institution of the Eucharist
“During the meal Jesus took bread, blessed it, broke it, and gave it to his disciples. ‘Take this and eat it, this is my body.’” (Mt 26:26)
