The choir celebrates the liturgy of the Mass with joyful singing and reverence. Choir members strive to enrich the Mass while also engaging the parish community in hymns and sacred songs that enhance the liturgical celebration.  St John the Baptist Vigil Choir rehearses each Saturday at 6pm and sings at the Saturday Night Vigil Mass at 7pm. For special occasions such as Christmas and Holy Week/ Easter there are a few extra rehearsals after weeknight Masses. Parishioners who have a love for music, an appreciation for the liturgy of the Mass, and are willing to attend the scheduled practices, are invited to become members of the choir. We will give you a warm welcome and you will go away each week feeling better for singing! Tenors and basses and younger adult singers are especially welcome. All music is taught at rehearsals.
